26th February was spent in Hugglets mode for me. I was up early and soon ready for the long drive to London to get to Kensington Town Hall for this years Hugglets Winter BearFest.
In London I was soon parked close by and walking through the doors, eagerly taking in the first sights and sounds.
Being a proud Hugglets Club member I was able to go in early before the crowds arrived. My tickets came with the membership for a mere £12.00. Who could ask for more? But there are many more reasons to be a member of the prestigious Hugglets club: https://hugglets.com/club/
It was an exploratory mission for me. I hope to take a table there myself for the Teddies Festival on Sunday 17th September 2023
Not sure that my products will fly off the table as fast as some of the fantastic teddy and artist bear creations but who knows? I will be offering my Bearton Bears serial How U Like Bears? and other published Bearton Bears novels and stories.
I've also got together with the bears this year and we have launched a small business selling quality bear making supplies and by September, I hope; kits of some or all of the main characters. This is all to help get the whole Bearton thing out there in front of people who might appreciate "The perfect escape from too much reality." I hope that might be you, or someone you know and would pass on a good word to for me?
Exploratory mission or not I met some lovely people there and as importantly some lovely bears. The ability of bear artists never fails to delight me. I'm hoping my own creations, simple and quite traditional as they will be, will not be put to shame.
None-the-less, I shall be there in September. How about you? I hope to see you there.
You can see my current novels and stories on my Amazon Author Page here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Swindon-B-Wilts
Thanks for dropping by. You may well spot yourself in the crowd at this years show. If you didn't make it, then here's some of what you missed!
